T7 Kemuncak Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of T7 Global Berhad), being part of Siemens T7 Consortium has secured a contract to upgrade the baggage handling system (BHS) at Terminal 1 KL International Airport. The contract involves the design, installation and commissioning of a new Baggage System that will utilise the latest conveying technology and high-performance controlling software. This will enable smart management of baggage handling as well as secure and efficient transfer of baggage between buildings. T7 Kemuncak will be responsible for the BHS installation, steel support construction, refurbishment of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) control rooms, server rooms and X-ray screening rooms and IT infrastructure.
“This marks another milestone for our construction division to expand our horizon in the airport logistics business,” said T7 Global group chief executive officer Tan Kay Zhuin. The project management team will deliver the project in live airport environment without intervening the daily airport operations, he added.
