In delivering our commitment, we apply our motto of “Making A Difference” in everything we do. Our Group is certified in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 and AS9100D and complies with the standards in managing, planning and delivering our products and services. This system defines the high-level requirements and key processes that facilitate the delivery of our strategic goals.
T7 AeroTech’s in-house special processes are accredited by Nadcap and the quality management system is certified to AS9100D (equivalent to EN 9100:2018 and JISQ 9100:2016, including ISO 9001:2015), which are the mandatory requirement for ‘special process’ suppliers in the aerospace manufacturing industry.
Nadcap, administered by the Performance Review Institute (PRI), is an industry-managed approach to conformity assessment of ‘special processes’ that brings together technical experts from prime contractors, suppliers and representatives from the government to work together and establish requirements for approval of suppliers using a standardised approach. AS9100 is comprised of ISO 9001 quality system requirements supplemented by additional quality system requirements established by the Aviation, Space and Defense industry. The development of the supplemental requirements is to ensure the common quality management systems for use within the Aviation, Space and Defense industry.
The QHSE Management System is continuously reviewed in terms of effectiveness and opportunities for improvement are acted on, to ensure operation and health and safety excellence. Through the QHSE Management System, the primary focus is on ensuring our people, asset, environment and reputation (PEAR) are at the forefront of all our activities. The system covers all requirements related to QHSE and other critical functions.
The QHSE Management System serves as a QHSE manual, with the primary goal being risk management. The system mandates that potential risks be identified, controlled and mitigated at the outset of every operation. The result is enhanced business resilience, eliminating operational incidents and, ultimately creating a safer working environment for our employees, contractors and the local communities which are associated with our operations. Through this, we derived Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each of our business units, including the specific operational processes to achieve these KPIs. The audit assurance process includes internal and external audits, trend analysis, investigation reports, compliance reports, identifying lessons learnt, and assessing our performance against KPIs etc.
Assurance implementation are in place to provide assistance and strengthening the capacity of the implementation team to enhance and achievement of results. Audit system has been set up to ensure all processes are carried out effectively and follow the control mechanisms, policies and procedures throughout the organization. This process also contributes for organization’s continuous improvement.
In this way, we cultivate a mind-set that continuous improvement must be integrated into every business process and activity.
This encourages our employees to promote a shared mind-set that helps our employees fully understand workplace risks,
identify and manage them with high levels of safety and professionalism.
Our operational management systems are an integral part of T7 Global. Our procedures are designed to ensure that all assets perform at each stage of their lifecycle in a manner that is safe for our people, environment, asset and reputation (PEAR). The robust execution of integrity management principles reduces the risk of failure and in so doing protects our people, environment, asset and reputation (PEAR).
In developing and continually enhancing our policies, we draw on our extensive operating experience and robust approach to risk management. This has enabled a high level of risk awareness to permeate throughout our organisation, ensuring a consistent approach across all business units and corporate functions.
Our procedures are aligned with best industry practices in terms of developing appropriate barriers to risks. Ensuring T7 Global’s vigilant approach to our procedures delivers the high levels of reliability, efficiency and sustainability.
T7 Global has a significant focus on protecting our people, environment, asset and reputation (PEAR). The procedure is designed to provide a systematic approach for preparing and responding to an emergency that may arise at T7 Global’s facilities, whether involving its employees, subcontractors or third parties.
We also have an established Risk Management System which monitors our day to day activities across all business units and corporate functions. Risk management is the process of identifying, assessing, and controlling threats to the company’s capital and earnings, which helps the company consider the full range of risks it faces.
We also organise frequent engagement sessions with our employees to reduce the unexpected events, and the goal is to map out all the potential risks and how to work to prevent or manage them. This also helps the employee recognise and understand how managing risk can benefit them and their performance, make precise and powerful decisions on behalf of the company, and drive the actions that work in the real world.
Having effective emergency plans helped us navigate the year’s challenges. We adapted to swift changes and dealt with each phase of the pandemic as needed. With the new ways of working, emergency drills were still conducted last year, at the site and offshore, as part of the company’s duty to ensure the personnel are competent and adequately trained to perform their specialised roles during emergencies.
Embedded in the DNA of our organisation is the recognition that our top priority remains focused on the prevention of unsustainable, unsafe acts. This mind-set permeates throughout every level of our business, and has earned us the recognition of being a best-in-class company in the areas where we operate.
The rigorous approach we take to managing our business extends to our partners and contractors as well, governed by guidelines and plans as part of our governance processes. From partner selection to day-to-day operations, we ensure that our partners and contractors are fully aligned with our strategy, including our ESG targets. We select opportunities and partnerships that have clear plans to minimise environmental impact, with robust governance tools in place, and strategic priorities that include maintaining good corporate citizenship.
It remains important to us to be a proactive partner. We work with our partners to identify areas where our expertise and involvement can add value to the joint venture, utilising our depth of technical and commercial experience particularly in the geographies where we have a well-established position.
Our performance was a result of a focus on proactive engagement and collaboration. Through solid partnerships, we have created significant value even when faced with big headwinds.
I'M a QHSE Champion
Safeguarding our employees’ health and wellbeing is part of our DNA. Over the past several years, we have delivered exceptional, top-quartile QHSE performance in all our operating locations. This performance stems from an unwavering commitment to QHSE at every level of our organisation.
Fostering a Safety Culture at Workplace
Our safety culture is built on the prevention approach, with a primary goal of eliminating operational incidents. This mandates that potential risks must be identified, controlled and mitigated at the outset of every operation, which eventually enhances our QHSE performance and creates a safer working environment for everyone. Significant investment is made by ensuring a system of continuous training to increase the awareness of our employees and contractors while instilling a standardised safety culture across our network.
Our QHSE personnel are active in every location and report regularly to ensure the highest standards are maintained through continuous improvement reviews. Employee involvement in these committees enables successful implementation and engagement
The health and safety of our employees have always been our top priority and this was even more the case with the onset of COVID-19. Whilst maintaining business continuity, stringent QHSE requirements were implemented, in line with international recommendations and local regulations. This included limited employees rotation periods, training campaigns, updates to COVID-19 protocols with an ongoing review, updated quarantine provisions for crews, and stakeholder review sessions.
We are proud to report that during 2021, we recorded zero fatalities, and over 3 million working hours without Lost Time Injury (LTI) across all our operating locations.
The COVID-19 pandemic has thoroughly tested our QHSE systems and despite the challenges, we continued to deliver topquartile safety performance. Our deep partnerships and collaboration efforts enabled the proactive response to keep people safe, while our dedicated employees continued to place QHSE at the top of the priority list.
T7 Global expects the highest standards of QHSE requirements from contractors as well, who are expected to adhere to our QHSE Management System requirements and our Code of Conduct and Ethics. All contracts are assessed based on the nature of risk. High risk contracts undergo additional screening such as pre-qualification reviews and ongoing evaluations with contractor representatives. In 2021 there were no reported breaches of contractor compliance with our QHSE requirements at any T7 Global operations site.
Despite the movement restrictions faced during the year, we managed to achieve an implementation rate of about 90% of our planned HSE Programs for the year which is commendable. Below are the highlights of our HSE activities.
